Fifteen magical, hops-filled years ago, the Gods of Barley, Yeast and Fermentation descended upon Tempe. They threw a tap atop A Mountain and a river of beer flowed toward 8th Street and Dorsey (you can still see it if you squint, while looking through a beer glass. At night.) The legendary Four Peaks was born.
(Cue the sound of the heavens opening in your mind.)
April 21, Four Peaks celebrates the tapping of A Mountain with Randomonium, a festival fit for the gods and their nectar, local craft beer. Randomonium is a celebration for the creatures that first came to drink from the fountain of craft beer. It’s a concert for the craft-beer army that has been fighting
for us for 15 years. It’s a party for you. All of you. Even the little yous.

Four Peaks is real. From our menu to our music. We poop on piped in satellite stations. We find music that reflects Four Peaks, and reveal it to you. So you should expect nothing less during our day-long celebration of sound.

The Gods of Barley, Yeast and Fermentation blessed us with their local craft-beer nectar, and we’re eternally grateful to them. So much so, that not only are Four Peaks Beers featured throughout Randomonium, but we’re going to introduce you some of our other favorite Arizona beers. Pay it forward, Randos. Pay it forward.
And although we don’t fully understand, some of you don’t like beer. So we’re also serving margaritas and sangria. You’re welcome.

What would Randomonium be without crazy carnival rides? We don’t know either. So for the kiddies, and the big kiddies, we’ll have giant slides, obstacle courses, corn hole (tee hee), a zip line, snow, and of course, fireworks. Who doesn’t love explosions.

It’s worth mentioning that this shin-dig isn’t just about us. Or you. There’s a greater good. In fact, a portion of the proceeds from Randomonium benefit the Arizona Coalition to End Homelessness and the Melonhead Foundation.
The Arizona Coalition to End Homelessness provides leadership in statewide efforts to end homelessness through advocacy, education and coordination with local communities and initiatives. AZCEH activities include Project H3 VETS which connects homeless veterans with permanent housing and support services; Project H3: Home, Health, Hope for long term vulnerable
homeless individuals and families.
The Melonhead Foundation provides support to children with cancer and their families. The foundation offers financial support and a resource center to families in Arizona. Melonhead recently started a Camp Wannahealyah to provide a positive natural healing experience for pediatric cancer patients and their families, free of charge. |
